How To Use A Fire Extinguisher

Hi I’m Mason The How To Kid and in this video I show how to use a fire extinguisher. I figured with all the new videos of experiments and auto repair, knowing how to put out a fire would be a good idea. Obviously if the fire was out of control or to a dangerous level leaving it to the professionals is the smart thing to do. On the other hand if a small fire breaks out suddenly while melting down aluminum or a car battery explodes because of a stray spark knowing how to stop it could saves lives and property.
I would never suggest someone put there life in danger to save property but the professionals can be as much as 8 minutes away and thats after someone is able to make the phone call.

In this video I started a small controlled fire and then put it out using the P.A.S.S. technique.

P- Pull the pin.

A- Aim at the base of the fire.

S- Squeeze the trigger.

S- Sweep the hose from side to side.

If you watch until the bloopers at the end you can see I had to make 2 different takes. On the first take I put out the fire with out saying the what the pass technique is. After I finished the video I thought it would be cool to spray the camera with what was left of the fire extinguisher but now looking back that may have been a mistake.
